A gritty, high-stakes thriller that combines heart-pounding action with a powerful, emotional journey of survival.

Shabu follows Aimee, a young mother living in a poverty-stricken Philippine shantytown ravaged by a devastating drug epidemic centered around a dangerous methamphetamine, known as Shabu. Aimee’s husband, Jeff Ryan, a retired American veteran, works as a contract killer, eliminating drug dealers to support his family.

When a hit is ordered on a target that only a woman can get close enough to eliminate, Jeff turns to the only person he knows—his wife, Aimee. Reluctantly, Aimee agrees to take on the mission. But after completing the hit, Aimee goes beyond the call of duty and executes an unsanctioned assassination of a cruel drug dealer she has seen regularly brutalizing a helpless neighbor. This act of defiance sets off a chain reaction, making Aimee and her family the primary targets of a powerful and vengeful criminal organization.

Now, Aimee must fight for the survival of her family in what becomes a brutal battle of life and death. The stakes couldn’t be higher, and as Aimee navigates the dark underworld of violence and revenge, she’ll need to confront not only the criminals after her but also the darkness she never expected to find within herself.

Shabu is a character-driven thriller that explores the lengths a mother will go to protect her family. It is a story of survival, redemption, and the complex nature of morality in a world where right and wrong are constantly in question.
